A graduate of The Glasgow School of Art’s Product Design programme, Iain has worked across a spread of design activity, ranging from brand direction, communication strategy and visualisation to product, service and experience design. Projects have involved both private and public sector clients including Royal London, NHS, Barnardos, Capita, Schuh, Scott & Fyfe, Cairngorm Mountain, CamRA, Scottish Enterprise and Nesta as well as working with several small start-up businesses. Iain has also presented design-led projects and related research on the wider socio-cultural impact of design, at international conferences and events, earning his PhD in 2010. He holds a lecturing post in GSA’s Design School where he is primarily involved in the delivery of postgraduate programmes in Design Innovation.
